Jesilyn Shambarger

I grew up in Miami County, Indiana. My love for creating art began at a young age, painting nature watercolors with my grandmother. Throughout high school and college, I excelled in art and anatomy courses, always having an interest in arts and the human form.

 

After joining The Bohemian Tattoo Club in 2013 as the front desk receptionist, I spent four years immersed in the tattoo industry before discovering my passion for cosmetic tattooing and pursuing it as a career.

 

I began my cosmetic tattoo apprenticeship in Indianapolis in 2017 and have continued my education through advanced trainings, seminars, and certifications across the U.S. One of my proudest achievements was earning Best Work of the Weekend among 100 artists while training in New York City in 2019. Continuing education remains a priority, and I regularly seek training from artists I admire to stay current with the latest techniques.

 

My goal has always been to create the most natural-looking results possible. With a strong understanding of anatomy, a lifelong passion for art and beauty, and a focus on realism in my portrait artwork, I bring a detail-oriented approach to every client. Cosmetic tattooing allows me to combine my passions for art, anatomy, beauty, and tattooing into a career I truly love. Whether creating realistic brows or helping restore confidence through areola reconstruction tattoos, I find great fulfillment in using my skills to make a meaningful impact in my clients’ lives.

 

When I’m not tattooing, I enjoy traveling the world, spending time in nature, gardening, interior design, making stained glass art, painting, drawing and spending time with my beloved dog, Scully.
