Tattoo over the existing areaolas to cover scarring from surgery or add color/symmetry

Specialized tattoos that recreate the appearance of a natural areola and nipple, often after breast surgery, such as a mastectomy or reconstruction. Using advanced techniques and pigments, artists add realistic color, shape, and 3D effects to help restore confidence and sense of wholeness for clients.

Absolutely! I will have some examples available to choose from, or if you have photos of your nipples/areolas before surgery, you are welcome to bring those as a reference.

Everyone is different. If you have scar tissue from surgery, you might nit feel anything. If you have full feeling in your breasts, I have a numbing cream available that can help, if needed.

6-12 months depending on your doctor’s orders

Corrective work & cover-ups can only be done if the previous work has faded enough, if the shape can easily be altered, and if there is minimal scar tissue. During our consultation, I will be able to assess your existing work, and let you know the next steps to take to get the best results.

5 days following:

Wash 3-4 times per day with anti-bacterial liquid soap and water, pat dry, then apply After Inked lotion. (I will provide the After Inked lotion upon the first session.)

After day 5, moisturize tattoos with lotion morning and night.

*Wait 2 weeks before swimming or being in bodies of water.

No. I will cover the tattoos with plastic wrap just so you have a barrier until you get home to protect your clothes (tattoos can be leaky when they are freshly done) – but once you’re at home, you will want to take the plastic wrap off, let them breathe and keep them clean. You still wear a shirt, just wear a loose fitting, clean clothing. If possible, go without a bra for a couple days and wear loose fitting cotton shirts to reduce irritation.

Bring a zip up jacket or a long sleeve button up or flannel shirt. Having something to wear that opens up in the front can be a bit more comfortable than being topless, especially if you get cold easily. Dress comfortably.

Additional Info:

Tanning & spending time in the sun will fade your ink.

Be aware that tanning WILL fade and discolor your nipple/areola tattoos. If you tan topless, make sure to apply a 50+ SPF sunscreen frequently to protect your tattoos from fading/discoloring.

Do not get your tattoo(s) done right before vacation.

Especially if you plan on being out in the sun a lot, going swimming, etc. We can do them 2 weeks before you go, or 1-2 weeks after you get back.

Results may vary per person

Once the tattoos have healed, I recommend using a lotion to keep the tattoo moisturized, as needed.

A note about healing a tattoo.

You will NOT want to expose the tattoo to sunlight, tanning beds, water sources, or dirt. A healing tattoo needs to be kept clean, but dry. (Showering is fine. No hot tubs, pools, oceans, rivers, lakes, or baths.) You will want to minimize your exposure to bacteria and other infection causing environments until the tattoo is FULLY HEALED.
