Tori Gilstrap
Hi, my name is Tori Gilstrap. I discovered art in middle school after being diagnosed with Crohn’s Disease while being a very competitive athlete. I had played sports all my life but could no longer express myself in that way, so I turned to art. I immediately was hooked and would spend my time in the hospital and recovering at home, creating art. I graduated from Ball State University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in painting where I learned a large variety of technical skills and also learned about myself and my style of art. I have been creating commissioned art pieces that vary from painting, drawing, murals, custom painted shoes/clothes, for as long as I’ve been doing art.
I began my tattoo journey a little over a year ago while I was finishing up college. I began with the basics and worked on fake skin and friends until I really began to get the hang of things. I have found myself really enjoying fine-line and black and grey realism! I’m excited to be a space that is comfortable for people and create amazing work that they will have for the rest of their lives!
